The BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2019 is taking place this weekend, where six pro CS:GO teams are battling it out for the top prize of $125,000 USD and 10 BPS points. The six teams to qualify for this year’s BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen are Astralis, Cloud9, FaZe Clan, Team Liquid, Natus Vincere and Ninjas in Pyjamas. Having played the group stages, the grand final has now been decided. FaZe Clan will be taking on Ninjas in Pyjamas tonight at 19:00 CET in Denmark.

The six teams to qualify for this year’s BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2019 all made it there thanks to their performances on the Pro Circuit so far this year, all six getting circuit invites. The format for this CS:GO competition is quite unique. The group stages are a single round-robin format, all games Bo1, with the top 2 teams at the end of the group stages proceeding straight into the Blast Pro Series Copenhagen 2019 Grand Final.

The Grand Final is a Bo3 match and will decide who leaves Copenhagen crowned as champions and who deserves the coveted top prize of $125,000 USD and 10 BPS points. The runners up will receive a consolation prize of $50,000 USD and 8 BPS points, while the team that finishes in 3rd place received $25,000 and also will go on to a bonus showmatch, the BLAST Pro Standoff, vs their choice of the 3 bottom placed sides.

The Blast Pro Standoff is made up of 5 1v1 ‘aim duel’ rounds, each player on the team responsible for 1 round. Each match-up is played with a different weapon, this year’s order being: M4A4/M4A1-S, Desert Eagle, AK47, CZ75 and finally the AWP. The first player in each round to get 7 kills wins their match-up and the team with the most kill wins at the end of the 5 rounds wins. Whichever team is lucky enough to win the BLAST Pro Standoff walks away with a $20,000 USD bonus prize.

This is how the Group Stages looked after their conclusion today:

The BLAST Pro Standoff will take place at 18:00 CET in Copenhagen tonight, and will feature Astralis vs Na’Vi. Astralis finishing 3rd in the group stages had the chance to choose their opposition and chose Na’Vi after drawing with them 15-15 during the group stages.

Then at 19:00 CET FaZe Clan will take on NiP to decide who are the CS:GO champions of Copenhagen for 2019.
