AVANGAR have won the Blast Pro Series Moscow 2019 2 – 1 against forZe Esports and taken home top prize of $125,000 USD. Following on their good form from the StarLadder Berlin where they achieve a 2nd placed finish, coming into this Counter Strike:Global Offensive event AVANGAR were clear favourites. Finishing 3-0-2 in the group stage, AVANGAR showed more good form beating forZe in the Grand Final after a hard-fought game.

AVANGAR (3-0-2) finished 2nd in the group stages just behind forZe thanks to their 3-1-1 record setting up the exciting match-up in the grand finale. Ninjas in Pyjamas finished in third place (2-2-1) meaning they advance on to the BLAST Pro Series Pr Standoff, getting to choose their opponents in the prize bonus showdown. MIBR (2-2-1), ENCE (1-2-2) and Natus Vincere (0-1-4) were eliminated, finishing in the bottom three.

ENCE were not able to replicate their good form from the StarLadder Berlin group stages, and went home in a disappointing fifth place.

NIP chose Natus Vincere to face off against in the BLAST Pro Series Pr Standoff, which took place just before the Grand Final this evening. Natus Vincere took home the consolation prize of $20,000, not bad for the team finishing in last place at this year’s BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019.

In the Grand Final, AVANGAR got off to a better start, winning the first round 16 – 13 in Overpass. Match 2 was on Inferno and forZe showed why they deserved their spot in the final, winning the game 16 – 12. The final showdown in this Bo3 finale was on Dust II. The game finished 16 – 6 with Timur ‘buster’ Tulepov winning MVP. AVANGAR took home the top prize and were crowned BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019 Champions.

It was an emotional win for AVANGAR, the win coming on as close to home soil as could be. Next up on the CS:GO calendar is the 2019 European Champions Cup, a newly minted CS:GO event series hosted by Eden Esports that kicks off on September 16th and will feature 16 pro CS:GO teams including AVANGAR. Can they repeat their success? Stay tuned here at Esportnow to find out!
