Call of Duty remains THE number one when it comes to the successful annual release of video games. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is already the best-selling game of 2019 after only three weeks on sale, according to NPD industry analyst Mat Piscatella, though the exact number of sales wasn’t released.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 is already breaking records. Only three weeks old, this also marks the 12th consecutive year that a Call of Duty game has been the best-selling title in its release month. So far it’s also the best-selling game franchise in U.S. tracked history in total sales. In other words, CoD makes a whole load of money. With Cod fans obsessing over Call of Duty patch notes 1.07 and constantly developing new CoD finishing moves, it is no wonder this latest release is being received so well.
The Call of Duty franchise has been hugely popular for over a decade and there’s really no signs of it stopping or slowing down. Cod has become a genuine pop culture phenomenon. This latest version, CoD: MW is a bit of a slower-paced Call of Duty title with a return to ‘boots on the ground’ gameplay, traditional Call of Duty finishing moves, as well as it being a reboot of the Modern Warfare franchise that was born back in 2007.
Modern Warfare 2019 has received some mixed reactions thus far, but that doesn’t really seem to have affected overall sales. It should therefore come as no surprise that Activision has plans for continuous annual CoD releases for the foreseeable future, so it doesn’t seem like the first person shooter title will be going away any time soon.
CoD fans are already awaiting the next Call of Duty Modern Warfare patch notes 1.07, and Call of Duty fans are already uploading their latest and best CoD finishing movies to YouTube. Check out some of the videos below to get a preview of the latest title in the Call of Duty franchise:
