In the latest CSGO update Valve is focusing on fixing map visibility. There was subsequent backlash from the CSGO community earlier this week after the release of new player models and in response, Valve has issued a micropatch. Here are the most important patch notes and updates.

The latest CSGO update is out, released earlier today, Valve are making an adjustment to a number of maps based on feedback, to improve visibility, fix re-zoom regression, and introduce a new system called Storage Units, that will give players the option to store up to 1,000 inventory items each.

There was a number of changes to maps Inferno, Overpass and Nuke: the patch includes improved visibility from patio towards pit boost spot and added fill lights in A site balcony hallway in Inferno. They also fixed a DM spawn in apartments that sometimes caused players to get stuck.

On Overpass Valve boosted ambient light on grate outside Monster, B site and removed graffiti from the left side of CT side, B site. They also boosted the light and changed the background texture in bank, A site. On Nuke they brightened up the corner by far vent in A site.

Valve made some changes to the UI adding a new setting to enable triple-monitor UI mode and a countdown until week 2 Operation missions become available. There have also been changes to the end of match scoreboard toggle button which is now the same button binding that enables the mouse in the scoreboard.

Other notable changes in this CSGO update include the ’rounds won with no purchases’ accolade appearing in Flying Scoutsman being fixed. The skin tone on one of the Elite Crew agents has also been fixed as was a regression in Weapons Course. A re-zoom regression with sniper rifles was also adjusted and the radar for Vertigo was updated.
