The playoff round of the DreamHack Masters Malmö is taking place this weekend, the top 6 teams from the group stages advancing to the single elimination bracket playoffs, which kick off later today. 16 of the best CS:GO teams out there qualified for the competition with a total prize pool of $250,000 USD – who is left and still in with a chance to win the top prize and be crowned champions of Malmö? Keep reading to find out.

The DreamHack Masters Malmö playoffs are set and 6 teams remain, still in with a chance to take home the trophy and the first-place prize of $100,000. Here is how the playoff rounds, set to kick off later today look like right now:

The winners of Group A and B move on directly to the semi finals of the DreamHack Masters Malmö. Astralis won Group A after defeating Team Vitality in the upper bracket round 3 with a 2 – 0 score. Coming into the competition Astralis were one of the favourites to be crowned champions after recently winning the StarLadder Berlin back in August. Natus Vincere won Group B beating Ninjas in Pyjamas with the same scoreline, 2 – 0 meaning Astralis and Na’Vi are only one step away from the Grand Final being held on Sunday 6th of October at 17:00 CEST.

Fnatic and mousesports also made it to the quarter finals by winning the losers’ bracket round finals Fnatic taking down FURIA Esports 2 – 0 in the lower bracket round 3 match-up and mousesports defeating Grayhound Esports with a 2 – 1 scoreline. Some noticeable absentees from the playoff rounds include G2 Esports and Evil Geniuses. The Evil Geniuses won the ESL One: New York only last weekend but were knocked out in the lower bracket round 1 by mousesports with a 2 – 0 scoreline after losing out to Grayhound in their first game in Group B. G2 won their first game against a strong FURIA team, only to lose out to eventual group winners Astralis, sending them into the lower bracket round 2 where they lost to Fnatic 2 – 0.

The quarter final match-ups are beginning today and there are some very interesting odds to check out. Having gone through all the available odds out there we recommend checking out Arcanebet’s:

As you can see both Fnatic and Team Vitality are favourites to make it into the semi finals. Fnatic’s odds make sense, despite NIP having made it into the playoffs via the winners’ bracket and Fnatic the losers’. Fnatic have faced off against some strong teams and shown some excellent form, which explains their low odds of 1.56.  A smart bet based on form might be mousesports: with odds of 1.95, and this is our hot tip for the weekend.
