The ESL EuroCup 2019 Finals kicks off today in Italy featuring four of the top European League of Legends teams out there, and a prize-pool of €7,000. The four teams taking part are the Samsung Morning Stars, Defusekids, EURONICS Gaming, and devils.one.
The ESL EuroCup 2019 Finals are kicking off in Italy tonight and will feature four of the best League of Legends teams in the region. The single elimination tournament is being hosted by Italy, one of the four teams represented at the competition. The Samsung Morning Stars will represent Italy, the other three teams having qualified for the competition through the ESL EuroCup Playoffs which took place back in September.
The semifinals are set and will be Bo3. The grand finale will be Bo5 and will take place on Thursday 31st at the Lucca Comic & Games 2019 center in Italy. EURONICS Gaming will take on hosts SMS in the first of the two semifinal match-ups and devils.one will take on Defusekids in the other.
The League of Legends teams’ rosters are jam packed full of talent. Defusekids have a fully dutch roster feature the likes of top laner Alois “Alois” Nelissen and jungler Maik “Hades” Jonker. devils.one are featuring an all-polish roster jam-packed with talent and the likes of top laner Tobiasz “Agresivoo” Ciba and mid laner Mateusz “Matislaw” Zagórski.

The League of Legends World Championship playoffs are also taking place right now, between the 25-27th of October and the 2-3rd of November. The Grand Finale will take place on November 10th at 13:00 CET, in the AccorHotels Arena, in Paris, France. The winner will take home a top prize worth 37.5% of the prize pool; to give perspective, last years prize-pool totaled a whopping $6,450,000 USD.
