Psyonix has revealed new details around the Rocket League Winter Roadmap including more features, new updates and S12 ranking rewards. Rocket League is approaching its fifth anniversary and Psyonix has revealed a few surprises up its sleeves regarding the end of season 12 of competitive, free DLC.
Psyonix has this week, revealed the Rocket League Winter Roadmap for the remainder of 2019. With the Rocket League Championship Season 8, the Frosty Fest, and Rocket Pass 5 still to come, Psyonix also revealed more features and updates including the rewards for ranking during Season 12. Psyonix confirmed that players who have ranked within any competitive mode will receive an animated decal that can be displayed on any customizable vehicle.
The competitive season 12 is expected to end around December the 5th so if you haven’t ranked or reached the level you desire Rocket League fans still have some time. Before the end of 2019 Psyonix will release all three original DLC packs, Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, and Chaos Run for free.
Players will no longer be able to purchase these packs as of October the 23rd and since there are literally hundreds of different cosmetics players can unlock, Psyonix are planning to introduce an archiving system that will allow players to navigate more quickly through their inventories. Archiving should be available later in 2019 along with Blueprints according to Psyonix.
After the conclusion of the Haunted Hallows event, Rocket League will celebrate the winter season with Frosty Fest 2019 being held in December, which will run through the beginning of the new year. Esports fans will be able to enjoy two different Rocket League events before the end of the year, with the Collegiate Rocket League National Championship commencing on November 9th and the Rocket League Championship Series World Championship in Madrid, Spain in which the top professional teams will be competing, scheduled between December 13th and December 15th.
