Though admittedly in recent times Dota 2 fans won’t have seen a lot of Dendi after leaving Na’Vi and spending a short time searching for a new more suitable home, Dendi is still one of the most ‘household’ of names in the Dota 2 scene. And it seems he has done just that, right in time too before the beginning of The International 2019 Qualifiers. In an exciting roster switch, Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin will now represent The Pango in this year’s Dota 2 Pro Circuit event.
Dendi was one of the first pro Dota players to make it to the Finals of The International on three separate occasions. He won a title with his team Na’Vi but having left all that behind the Ukranian player now finds himself joining forces with The Pango, their newest mission: to make it to The International 2019 by winning their way through The International 2019 Qualifiers, a daunting task for any pro Dota player out there.
This switch see’s Dendi moving back to his home region (CIS) after a previous relatively unsuccessful stint at SEA team the Tigers. Will the change in scenery perhaps help and Dota fans will start to see some of the old Dendi they knew so well? It is definitely too early to know for sure. Make sure to keep your eye on how this move turns out during The International 2019 Qualifiers taking place between the 7th and 14th of July.
This latest change means a brand new roster for The Pango, Ghostik the only player remaining from this season so far. The full roster currently at time of writing looks like this:
- Vladimir “Chappie” Kuzmenko
- Danil “Dendi” Ishutin
- Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk
- Danial “yamich” Lazebny
- Mihail “Misha” Agatov
